Gilmore Girls

It's an old show, I watched it once in a blue moon on TV when I was like, I don't know, 11 or something like that but I never forget the show. It's among Charmed, Friends and the likes. Yes, you can assume that I started watching American TV shows at a fairly young age. And mind you, I used to follow Charmed EVERY WEEK (can you imagine the pain? and you know what I can't believe I'm still doing that for Desperate Housewives Season 8 now) when I was a kid, like 10 years old or something. 

Anyway, back to Gilmore Girls. I didn't really follow the show because although I kinda like it, that time it was a bit too boring for me (you know, teenage girls loving magic stuff and all that, urgh). But now, I LOVE the show. It has some nice everyday-life elements to it and it's funny and warm and not to mention Alexis Bledel's one of my favourite actresses. On a side note, blue eyes are so......hypnotizing. Sometimes during the show there's scenes where Lorelai and Rory would stare into the camera and I would go "okay! too blue! too blue!" lol. 

So yea, since now with Ugly Betty gone (some months ago), Heroes gone (cancelled according to Wikipedia), soon my favouritest Desperate Housewives (LAST SEASON T_T), I'm catching up with Gilmore Girls! Yay! I actually picked this from One Tree Hill (too dramatic as in relationships-messy), Friends (too long), Big Bang Theory (not really nice imo, or maybe cuz it's a sitcom), Charmed (way past magicky thingy, unless I'm totally bored), etc etc. Oh, there's something about sitcoms, I just don't like it, I don't really know why, maybe it's because I find it a bit annoying that the whole point about sitcoms are the jokes but not the story, and I kinda find that meaningless. I mean, it's nice to laugh but I feel totally fake watching shows just to laugh. It's unhealthy in a way. I dunno. 

Ok, enough bout Gilmore Girls. Back to my very boring life. Again, finals in a month. And I still have 3 major stuff to do so why am I still blogging here is a mystery to me. Oh oh oh!! One thing why I like GG is that Season 1 Rory's situation is sooooo much like me! Ie. She wanted to explore the world, go to a lot of countries and write about it. I COULDN'T AGREE MORE. In fact sometimes the feeling is so overwhelming that I want to go to a sea and shout over and over again "I WANT TO DISCOVER THE WORLD!!!!!!! I WANT TO GET OUT OF THIS PLACE!! I WANT TO SEE DIFFERENT THINGS AND ABSORB DIFFERENT CULTURES AND DO DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES AND MEET DIFFERENT PEOPLE!!!" *exhales* It's driving me nuts, I know. I really can't wait for my time to see the world. I couldn't anymore. Some girls at my age has the same level of yearning, but to get married. But oh hell no not me, I will NOT settle down until I've seen something out there. 

Which is why I have to graduate asap and find some way to realise my dreams. Sigh. I really must stop singing the same old song over and over again. 

Hmm, there's one more thing I wanna blog about but forgot. I never believe what they say about your memory is unlimited or whatever it is. Because my short-term memory's so limited that if I don't write down like IMMEDIATELY it'll be gone faster than bubbles break. Sometimes I wish there's this automatic record thingy in my brain that records every thought of mine. Ok that sounds creepy. But how else you could do it when you're brushing your teeth or in the toilet or whatever? That's when your mouth can't talk or your hands are fully occupied!

Anyway, if I remember I'll update this. Which is highly unlikely. So kthxbye.

Now,

I'm relaxing with my green tea, doing my things online, while chatting with one or two friends enjoyably.

While suffering severe muscle pain ALL OVER my body.

Due to the fact that yesterday, I had another de-clutter my room session again. Last time was about 6 months ago, this one.

Except that this time, I didn't find dust rolled into a cylindrical shape, instead of those cute little dust rolls, I found something even more exciting (yes I'm being sarcastic), which are

INSECT EGGS

hidden behind some of my stuffs (which had been there for about 10 years or so I guess, I couldn't really remember).

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT ask me WHAT insect eggs are those, because I SHUDDER to even think about the eggs. All I did, the moment I saw those bloodygoddamned eggs, is to SUCK THE HELL UP with my lovely, trusty, god-bless-them vacuum cleaner. Without thinking much about it. So yeah that's how I cleared the bloody things.

My operation was pretty simple actually. I set out, at 3pm, to clear and chuck two three-boxed colour boxes which is situated above my TINY closet. At the same time I dig out all my paperbacks and relocate them into my glass cabinet which is a new furniture I have.

Apparently I kept USELESS things from 13 years ago. Things like unmarked homeworks. From my FIRST GRADE.

It seems like I'm a very sentimental person after all eh? Sadly I can't find any love notes since 13 years ago. I wonder where I hid them instead.

Just kidding, ugly people like me don't have love notes from cute boys when I was 7.

Anyway, I finished clearing up my stuff, and the insect eggs, at 2am.

Yes, that's 11 hours of hard work and labour for me. I went to bed, shit tired, after watching the Portugal-Spain game on live (Ha! Now where's the advertisement star Ronaldo's going to hide his face??), at 4 something am.

Then, today morning, I woke up in a dead person's body. Totally petrified, like how people got "petrificus totalus!" (yes I still remember that damn spell from Harry Potter), but instead of the regular Petrification spell, this is something even nicer, which came with severe MUSCLE PAIN and inability to even get out of my bed.

But in the end of course I struggled out of my bed and moved my body in great pain.

And when I grumbled about it to my dad, he replied cheerfully with a "this is what you get for clearing your stuff every 10 years".

If he finishes that with a wink, I swear I might strangle him with both my hands.

And now, I'm happily drinking my green tea, recounting my fascinating yesterday, which involves lovely insect eggs and muscle pains *shudders*

Yes. Even me. The cool-headed one when it comes to anime. The unique-taste one when it comes to mainstream anime. The not-easily-fooled-by-good-looks-and-cool-demeanor girl.

Yes. There. I've said it. With no sense of covering it up or whatever. I am so in love with Usui.

Not because he's good looking, not because he's cool. I could get that from any other animes lying about in my lair.

Although yes those two points sort of counts to the big picture, you get what I mean. And that's not the point.

He's POSSESSIVE, and DOMINANT. That sort of brought the hot level to 70% now.

You know what made the level hit home? Go on, guess, go on.

GLASSES. DAMMIT.

I know, so pathetic right. Just one scene, from episode 11, at the last, when he wore that pair of glasses.

I instantly melted. Damn.

Let's hope it's not a permanent thing. I haven't seen episode 12 yet.

But I got a feeling I'm going to love him anyways ♥

And it's not just about Usui either. I like this anime a lot because FOR ONCE IN A GODDAMNNEDLIFETIME, there is no friggin whatever HAREM in it. And that's good. That's really good. Because once in a while, normal people like us deserve a normal, monogamous couple relationship that undergoes NORMAL jealousy, embarrassing times, shyness and so on.

In one good, I DARE say, this anime IS AS GOOD AS OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB.

Yeap. You read that right.

Dewa, minna-san, I've done my fangirling. Thank you for listening. You can all say "PATHETIC" to my face now and I will happily accept it. I am just too happy to say anything back now anyway =D

If there's still any of you left anyway, after I've abandoned my blog for a considerably long period of time XD I'm just gonna drop a short little wish and off to bed soon.

So now, I want to convey my wish for everyone's happiness and well-being for this special and meaningful day.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!!!

Not just today, but for everyday onwards!! After all, happiness (even the slightest bit) is all we need to get on with all the challenges life presents to us. Isn't that right??

You know before my holiday starts I kept wishing that I wanna go out everyday everyday everyday. And I really went out most of the days. It's uber tiring (although fun and eye-opening) and now I just wanna have one week to myself. But before I know it the next semester of college is here already.

Why in the world time always passes so darn fast? For the good bits I mean?

Sometimes I get the feeling that life's going so fast. There's no time to observe and appreciate what's good and right in front of us. We're always trying to pursue something but the blessings are already here, with us. People say, teenage is a phase where you learn a lot of things. But for me, teenage is, yes, a phase where I learn a lot of things. However, only these 2 or 3 years are the years that I've really learn. About life. About how we treat people and how the world works. About how to accept defeat and learn to climb back up again. About how short life really is and how seemingly important things right now will all be a tiny little past in the future.

From end of 2007 till now, I dare say that I've learned a lot, mentally and philosophically. I've found some answers to some of my own questions, those kind of questions where no one can really answer you but only you yourself will know the answer to it through personal experiences. I've learned to let go and put down certain things in my heart that I'll never forgive myself for. After all, it's the past, why dwell on it? Why not look forward to the future with an open heart and the readiness to accept whatever life will give to us, no matter good or bad, with a smile?

Here I'll quote something from a friend:

"Don't take life so seriously... no one comes out of it alive anyway."

Why, so true indeed. Although yes it's coated heavily with sarcasm but yes it's the truth nonetheless. I agree with it all-heartedly :D Although that's not to tell you all to commit suicide. Please don't get me wrong that way lol. But I can always see people (myself included) making such a big deal out of a simple little things sometimes. Yet when we're in the heat of the moment it's the only thing we focus on and worry soooo much about it. Funny ain't it? Oh well oh well. I should probably stop babbling about that now.

I've just finished watching Code Geass and migod it's WOW. Seriously. WOW. ESPECIALLY Season 2. It's wow-inducing. No take that back. It's a WOW itself. Okay I don't know what I'm talking about now but the point is that it's fantabuloso. In fact now I've listed it into my Top 5 faves. It's worthy of Top 5 but No. 1 is still Honey and Clover for me :D Anyway I'll not say more about it as I plan to do a full post only about Code Geass later (I keep saying that a lot lately huh? I'll post that, I'll post this...when oh when will I post xD).

And now I'm watching Natsume Yuujincho. It's been on my To Watch list for about one (or was it two?) years already and finally now I get to watch it. All because of Rurouni Kenshin *ahem* nothing. It's a very relaxing anime and I NEED more animes like this to calm my soul (LOL as if I've been in the war or something for the past 20 years XD).

OH DAMN I JUST ANN-ED* UP NATSUME'S SEIYUU TO FIND OUT IF MY SUSPICION IS CORRECT AND I'M RIGHT!!!!! NO WONDER I KNEW THERE'S SOMETHING FAMILIAR ABOUT THAT VOICE!! HE'S ALSO THE SEIYUU FOR TAKEMOTO IN HONEY AND CLOVER!!! I CAN ACTUALLY RECOGNIZE THAT VOICE WHILE WATCHING THE ANIME!! OMG I LOVE THAT VOICE.

I hope I don't have to tell you to look carefully and ensure that the realization of DORIAN GRAY=PRINCE CASPIAN dawn upon you? Bahaahaa.

Yes, a classic I love so much, even though I've never read it (umm wtf?), is going to be on screen soon, starring an actor whom I nosebled before from Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Now, don't you think the world looks more beautiful already? LOL.

And anyway yes that's Colin Firth, and I know he looks *coughsoomgfunnaycough* but hey, the highlight's supposed to be Ben Barnes isn't it?? Yeah, ouch for Colin Firth (Shadows: Sorry! Don't hit me! XD), yay for Prince Caspian! I mean Ben Barnes (there's something lame about the name, imho.)

I hope this movie rocks as much as League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (LXG). It's a movie I love ever since 2003 when it first came out. Very creative, very exciting, and by the way there's Dorian Gray in it too but as one-of-the-many leading characters not the main character. That Dorian Gray was acted by Stuart Townsend though, not that I mind, since I think he fits the character quite well too.

Can't wait can't wait can't wait!!! :D
