I dare say, this is one of the best anime openings I've seen throughout my entire anime history. 

The timing and the animation is so matching that I want to announce it husband and wife.

Yes. Even me. The cool-headed one when it comes to anime. The unique-taste one when it comes to mainstream anime. The not-easily-fooled-by-good-looks-and-cool-demeanor girl.

Yes. There. I've said it. With no sense of covering it up or whatever. I am so in love with Usui.

Not because he's good looking, not because he's cool. I could get that from any other animes lying about in my lair.

Although yes those two points sort of counts to the big picture, you get what I mean. And that's not the point.

He's POSSESSIVE, and DOMINANT. That sort of brought the hot level to 70% now.

You know what made the level hit home? Go on, guess, go on.

GLASSES. DAMMIT.

I know, so pathetic right. Just one scene, from episode 11, at the last, when he wore that pair of glasses.

I instantly melted. Damn.

Let's hope it's not a permanent thing. I haven't seen episode 12 yet.

But I got a feeling I'm going to love him anyways ♥

And it's not just about Usui either. I like this anime a lot because FOR ONCE IN A GODDAMNNEDLIFETIME, there is no friggin whatever HAREM in it. And that's good. That's really good. Because once in a while, normal people like us deserve a normal, monogamous couple relationship that undergoes NORMAL jealousy, embarrassing times, shyness and so on.

In one good, I DARE say, this anime IS AS GOOD AS OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB.

Yeap. You read that right.

Dewa, minna-san, I've done my fangirling. Thank you for listening. You can all say "PATHETIC" to my face now and I will happily accept it. I am just too happy to say anything back now anyway =D

After watching, my initial response was: WHY IN THE WORLD BEAUTIFUL STORIES ALWAYS HAVE BLOODY SAD ENDINGS?

Or should I say, why in the world beautiful relationships always do not end with "and the two of them live happily together ever after"?

And how the heck can Takaki LIVE loving Akari ALL THESE YEARS without flying to Akari's side and tells her how much he loves her and asks her to marry him and have kids with him and never leave his side ever again??? I mean, come on, it's not like Takaki lives a very wonderful life, being alone, working as a computer programmer, passing day by day like some soulless corpse. He would do SO MUCH BETTER by doing what I said there.

TAKAKI YOU SUPER BAKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell you what, if I'm Akari I'd totally stop my wedding and leaves everything had I known what Takaki is going through.

ARGH!! Watching this kind of beautiful-yet-bloody-sad movie is very suffering for me!!!

ALTHOUGH, I have to say, the anime is SO BEAUTIFUL. As in the artwork, I mean. EVERY SINGLE FRAME is a pure masterpiece in itself and I tell you, this guy (as in the creator) is darn good in nature scenes, putting it in an anime perspective, it's just the ultimate eye candy for every anime addicts.

Though you must have enough maturity to understand the storyline cuz it's not that clear, at least to me in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th episodes. The first was pretty clear though.

I knew about this anime from this Japanese film festival that I want to go so badly but in the end didn't cuz it's too damn far and I'm busy on the days the nice shows are showing.

But as always, I have ways to get what I want, when I want it ;)

It's been some time since I watched some really good anime movies and a few nights ago I just watched this!!

9.8/10 THUMBS UP. Seriously. Whether you're an anime-addict or not, you have to watch this. And if you're an anime addict, you MUST watch this. It's not by Hayao Miyazaki the great, but it's nice nonetheless.

Very creative storyline. And very very my type. XDXDXD.

Lazy to tell more. Just go and watch it and you'll get what I mean by the AWESOMENESS of it.

xxxHOLiC Review

Before you read this review, let me tell you that I am not, in any way affiliated with the production and anything related to xxxHOLiC (get what I really mean?) XD. But I really like this anime a lot. A whole lot. And this anime made me realize that I dig humorous animes which can make me laugh in every single episode. And am I delighted to find out that xxxHOLiC: Kei (sequel) is out just as I finished watching the first season! You can bet your last penny that I'm totally getting the sequel since everyone (every anime addict, that is) is talking about it and giving it the thumbs up after watching the latest sequel.

Like some of the animes which I love, this anime made me go laughing-out-loud from the very first episode of it. But there's one thing I don't really understand - why're all the characters have extra long legs and hands? Yet even though they have long legs and hands they still look human (not ape XD). Besides that, unrelated characters in the anime are always grayed out, literally. Maybe CLAMP's too lazy to draw the whole package? By the way, Mokona's really cute - round, black, eats up bad spirits and loves to bully Watanuki (actually I quite enjoyed watching Watanuki got bullied by Yuuko, Mokona and the twin girls XD) with Yuuko-san all the time ^^ll.

Yuuko's actually one of the main characters in the anime (she's smart! hats off to her). She's operates a shop which offers to realize client's wishes and the client has to pay back an equivalent price for it (not necessarily to be money). I love one of her favourite welcome line, "There is no coincidence in this world, only the inevitable (必然)". And let me tell you, I sort of enjoy watching Yuuko's fashion show in this anime. She changes outfit in every episode XD (and her outfits are all so nice! Especially the yukata *__*). Kinda refreshing you ask me, because I totally hate anime in which the character never ever get a second outfit. And it's always a pleasure for me to watch Watanuki being bullied by Yuuko XD. Much as Yuuko enjoyed it so do I (I love it the most when she bullied Watanuki with this ^___^ face XD).

Another reason I like this anime a lot is the theme of this anime's exactly the type I like to watch - supernatural and full of weird stuff. Actually it reminds me a bit of Mushishi, but Mushishi's not as funny as this one. Besides, it's good that there's a nice deep meaning behind every episodes of it... Plus the story's original and creative. I can't predict what's going to happen in the next 10 minutes even if I wanted to because there's no cliché at all in this.

And oh besides Yuuko, Doumeki seems to enjoy bullying Watanuki as well because Watanuki's reactions are simply too amusing to watch after he got bullied. Oh how I love DoumekixWatanuki (I mean friendship, not yaoi, don't think too far). And by the way Doumeki reminds me of a friend of mine with the stony facial expressions and the way he treated Watanuki (the same way she treated me XD). Doumeki~~♥~~ (why do I always fall for anime characters who're in Japanese Archery Club?? orz).

Man I was so worried for Watanuki in episode 23. I nearly thought he's gonna die or something if it hasn't been for Doumeki who saved him at the last minute. Although Watanuki's always shouting here and there like a maniac, but when he fell sick everyone's so worried for him ヾ(≧Д≦)ノ~ Watanuki's another main character in the movie and since he's young he's been "attracting" supernatural beings like spirits and stuff. So one day he stepped into Yuuko's shop and Yuuko practically forced him to work for her in the shop XD. Although he's a guy but he knows how to cook, bake, clean the house and all plus his food's all so delicious (he's like the perfect guy XD). But how can he be so dense? He can't even get it when Zashiki Warashi's (I love Zashiki Warashi's cute little followers who wear sunnies by the way XD) trying to confess to him by giving the ohagi to him in earlier episodes.

Episode 18 in this anime's my personal favourite. I don't know why but this episode reminds me a lot of Miyazaki's Spirited Away. Maybe it's because of those monsters of all all kinds? *Laughs*. And Episode 22's kinda touching as well. Last but not least is the last episode. It's a nice finishing episode which tells us a little bit of Watanuki's history with supernatural beings. Warming and rounds up the whole anime really well ^^.

Soundtrack of this anime's superb and matching. Especially one of the soundtracks which is named "Shizuka na Hibi". Somehow this soundtrack reminds me of Japan during autumn and I wish that I can listen to this soundtrack while watching red maple leaves and drinking red tea (´ー｀) (but too bad that will never happen I think orz). Final verdict for the soundtrack and the theme songs of this anime: 8.2 out of 10 ^o^.

Overall anime rating: 8.6 out of 10. Too bad the artwork seems to be a little bit not that perfect, but the story's really good. And I'd recommend it to anybody who like Honey and Clover or Mushishi or anything with supernatural things. My next anime would be the 13-episode Bartender. Stay tuned for my review XD.

Detective Conan: Jolly Roger in the Deep Azure Review

Although this movie came out last year, I've just watched it 2 days ago. And don't get me wrong, I'm still the biggest fan of Detective Conan. It's just that, well, when you have all the time in the world to enjoy something nice, why rush? XD. OK that's an excuse I know, I can't believe I've postpone watching a movie for one YEAR. I really should stop getting more and more animes so that I can finish the ones on my hands first before I postpone them to even later. Overall, I quite like the theme of this movie - Friendship. It's been some time since Aoyama sensei uses something so delicate as a main theme and I can't say that I'm not happy for it. Although the minus point of this movie is that it reminds me a lot of another movie of Detective Conan - Detective Conan: Strategy Above the Depths. OK, maybe not a lot, but still the setting is somewhere near the sea and all. I expected something different ya know, unless of course the creator loves the sea so much then of course I have nothing else to say.

The movie starts off well from the witnessing of murder in water by Ran and her best buddy Sonoko, at least from here I can tell that Gosho's trying to add more suspense into the game and it's clicking well. Plus, I can see the improvement in this movie as new elements and that "ohm feeling" is in the movie as well. And I say the production of the movie's quite detailed and precise since I can't really pick out any huge flaws in this movie, from smooth animation to echo voices in the cave, I love the whole package of it ^^. I was actually sighing with contentment because it's been some time since there's a high-quality mystery in this anime instead of those pathetic mystery cases where I can solve with my imagination and can even spot some huge defect in the theory.

Anyway, if you're a Conan fan and is trying to get more of RanxShinichi or AixConan out of this movie, get something else instead of this. Seriously, there's very little of those romance stuff in this movie *coughmaybebecausethecretorgotdivorcedlastyearcough*. *Ahem*. Anyhow, I like the way Conan and Haibara cooperated in this movie. Finally Haibara is acting like herself unlike in those TV episodes where I keep watching with mild frustration since Conan and Haibara're busy trying to act like kids all the time.

Let's get back to the main topic. Artwork in this anime is good as usual (very Gosho style) and basically I've got nothing to say about its artwork since I'm so used to Detective Conan already. So I'm not in a place to criticize about its artwork since I will be seriously biased in my judgment. As for the storyline however, the story's well constructed, but somehow the story's kinda lagging in the middle if I'm not mistaken. It's like, the murder in the water is so exciting that it waters down the rest of the movie except for the end. I hope you get what I mean XD. But the setting is totally not my taste. I always loved mysteries which involve mansion, castle, secret tunnels, underground chamber and stuffs. But this, with sunny beach and sparkling sea as the setting, is not really my cup of tea. But it's still good nevertheless. It's just that I'm not one who have extra affection for the sea that's all.

The epilogue after the rolling credits is SO NICE! X) LOL OK I know it's because of Shinichi but... but... OK, it's just because of Shinichi. XD. I think I would hyperventilate if Gosho Aoyama produce a movie with NO Conan but JUST Shinichi in it. But I don't think that ever likely to happen since the name of the anime is Detective CONAN not Detective Shinichi OTL *sighs*. Oh well.

Besides, I totally *heart* the theme song of the anime! "Nanatsunoumi o Wataru Kaze no you ni (七つの海を渡る風のように)" by Rina Aiuchi & U-ka Saegusa!! Both my favourite female Japanese singer! XDXDXD. Is it a coincidence that this time it's two person instead of one who did the theme song? I don't think so ^^. And the acoustic guitar at the end of the movie is a nice touch to the anime *thumbs up*. So my rating for the soundtracks and theme songs of the anime is 8.2 out of 10.

For this movie, I'd give a rating of 7.8 out of 10. I would've give it an 8 if the story's not watered down in the middle. But anyway it's a nice movie overall *wink*.

Now I'm watching xxxHolic. So far, so good XD. I'll do the review when I'm done with it ^^.

Gakuen Heaven Review

Okay, if you know what type of genre Gakuen Heaven is categorized under, don't say anything. I know very well what I've watched this time *sweat*. So! Umm... where to start? Alright, let's start this off with how I've bought this anime in the first place. I bought this anime last year when I was still kind of a newbie in the anime world. And that time, I saw this anime and I thought that the art was kind of good, plus I've looked it up in anime news network and the anime seemed fine to me. And so I bought it and it sat in my room for more than one year (I think) before I got it out recently to watch it.

Then, I realized --- it's yaoi O______O. And I have no idea it's yaoi until I watch it! Seriously! When I bought this anime I don't even know what's yaoi and yuri for goodness sake, let alone recognizing one. So don't look at me with that look. XD. Anyway, I think this is the first time I'm watching a yaoi anime and reviewing one (I was wondering if I should even write a review on it *sweat*). So here I am, keeping to my promise by reviewing every anime I've watched since the establishment of this blog. But to tell the truth say you're looking for an anime full of hot guys, this is a good choice LOL.

First of all, artwork. The artwork is pretty nice, except that the animation is less...smooth. The whole thing seems very hard and lifeless. Plus there are a lot of unmoving moments. So much that I can notice that fact. But the character designs are quite good. Actually in my opinion, Kazuki should be the main character instead of Keita. Keita reminds me annoyingly of Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi, you know, red hair, big eyes, pathetic traits and all. Keita is basically the male version of Miaka. XD. Kazuki will be a much better main character than him. =__=ll.

And what sends me to giggles is the name of the school. The school name is [B]ell [L]iberty High School. Get what I mean? XD. This must be the creator's personal joke. Anyway, the content of this anime is highly implausible. I mean, this is a school right? And yet I've seen these characters running around the school doing things OTHER THAN studies. They didn't seem to have classes to go to. I only saw Keita attending his class ONCE. Other characters, NONE. And Keita even let Naruse (who is a total stranger to him that time) to kiss him without any defense!

Kissing and hugging scenes aside, the characters are all real hotties. My personal pick would be Matsuoka Jin and Shinomiya Koji. Ah~ such hotties *fantasize* XD. And how in the world 50% of the time my hotties end up to be the bad guys? Something's seriously wrong with me. No matter, let me get back to the topic. Did I mention that the creator loves to create yaoi-imagination inducing stuff? But in the end it's not even the real thing XD. Plus you know what? There is not even one female in this anime. Unbelievable? Watch it for yourself XD.

In this anime I would like to bring attention to this character - Umino Satochi sensei. Although he's supposed to be the oldest character in the anime, yet he looks the youngest of all. And he looks like a female in addition. And the part where he yanked open the thick metal door in one of the episodes made me go laughing non-stop. Oh yeah there is also the "ultimate" kissing of the two main characters in the last episode *sweat*. But somehow I've expected that so I wasn't really O___O kind of surprised.

I don't really have any comments for the soundtrack and the theme songs of this anime. So no rating is given for that.

For the anime, the rating will be 5.8 out of 10. Artwork is good but lifeless, storyline slightly pointless, normal soundtrack and theme songs. I don't recommend this anime but if say you're curious of how a yaoi anime should be then maybe you can have a go. And according to wiki, this is actually a PC game gradually expanded to include three PlayStation 2 games, drama cds, manga and anime. OTL. I can't believe this. Anyway, that's it for Gakuen Heaven review. I'm going to stop watching new animes for the moment and catch up a bit on my Detective Conan. I miss Kudo Shinichi already. XD.

Death Note Review

I must admit, I finished Death Note's 37 episodes complete in a top speed. It's THAT good. This masterpiece is really as good as the others have told me. And my anime instincts are correct after all. I know, I should've watch this last year. But well if you know me well enough, I always save those nice stuffs till the end. LOL. This is a truly anime addict must-watch. If you're doubting, let this review convince you to watch this spectacular piece.

First of all, the artwork of this anime is utterly finger-licking good. The anime did a very good impression from the first episode. Realistic, detailed and dark, this anime cuts off all kinds of fantasy-oriented style of artwork. Plus, if you notice carefully, you will not find any chibi-style or fun-style artwork in this anime. This is something to be praised because most of the anime out there must have these two styles to attract audience. And the setting in this anime is to be applauded - realistic and honest. But although the artwork is good, the shinigamis are real grotesque lol. So if you want to avoid having nightmares you might not want to watch this anime.

The storyline of this anime is utterly superb. Twist and turns everywhere, not to mention miniature climax in every episode. If you're a person who enjoys intellectual competition and challenges, this couldn't be a more prefect anime for you. Ingenious but yet down-to-earth solutions for every conflict that occurred, the creator must have squeezed a lot of brain juice for this. And I appreciate it a lot because I can't find any other anime like this, awesomely unique and original. To tell the truth, Death Note never failed to excite me in every episode, the plotting is just too good, too delicious.

This anime can be separated into two parts, first part is the battle between Raito and L, the second being the battle between Near+Mello versus Raito. Of course, the battle between Raito and L is much more exciting than Near+Mello because somehow the stakes are higher in the first battle. I love the relationship of Raito and L a lot, enemy and best friend at the same time. But at last the devil power of Death Note won, causing the death of L (spoilers! XD) eventually. In addition, the way authors kept adding new characters into the game such as professional Liars and Thief is a good tactic to keep us the audience interested.

Besides, I totally *heart* the episode in which L dies. That episode, in my opinion, is the most special of all. It has this personal touch to it, mainly focusing on Raito and L's unique relationship. The way L kept hearing those bell ringing sound audible only to him, the way L cared about Raito, the way Raito treated L as a buddy, this particular episode made my tears fell down unconsciously. Especially when L fell from the chair and Raito caught him without much thinking. And by the way, I totally love how L and Raito fights LOL. I really can't imagine these two highly-intellect characters actually fighting physically (Raito with his fist and L with his feet XD) before I really saw it with my own eyes. Seriously, these two are so cute. And OMG what is Raito and L doing in episode 25 after the rain??? It's kind of misleading in my opinion (yes my brain is shouting "yaoi!" when I saw it) but I don't think the creator meant it that way. Oh well.

As for the characters...Hmm...

Let's start off with Raito. This total hottie is tall, handsome, intelligent, and all the other nice features you can find in a guy. And by the way Raito's voice is the sexiest of all, well, it's Miyano Mamoru after all, so I can say it's totally expected XD. Too bad he got controlled by the dark powers of Death Note, which drives him to the brink of total craziness. What a waste. But still he's hot. And I have to say, Miyano Mamoru is one heck of a good seiyuu. Raito's character is played perfectly by him, bravo, Miyano-san! But one thing I don't understand is, how come Raito didn't kill Mello personally when he first knew his name through Yagami Ichiro? Is it possible that the creator overlook something?

Next, L aka Ryuzaki. Weirdo, but superb logic and reasoning skills. And one thing is I love the way he reasons everything, he never goes back in his reasoning process, although the facts he gathered might not be confirmed or certified. And this is one of the reason he managed to guess Raito is Kira (I never like this calling). Plus, L's confident but sometimes the solutions he took to solve problems can be considered as dramatic and unstable. And you know what?? The seiyuu for L in this anime is Kappei Yamaguchi!! One of my favourite seiyuu!!! *Heart*~~ Ahh~~ Kudo Shinichi~ I miss you~ (Sorry for the slight runaway, *ahem* let's get back to the main topic). To tell the truth, throughout this whole anime, L is the one who managed who made me ROFL everytime, let me tell you the points where I go ROFL:

1. After L pick pocketed Misa's handphone, Raito called Misa. L picked up the phone with a "もしもし？" in this cute curious tone which drives Raito crazy and barks at L "何がもしもし??" in this =___= way.
   
2. As L's being watched by the security camera (which in turn the feed is watched by Matsuda) he said "Matsuda's being a baka as usual" XD. To which Matsuda replied "I can hear that you know =__=..." LOL.
   
3. Misa's commercial effect on L XD.
   
4. L's love for sweet snacks.
   
5. L's seem-to-be-innocent sarcasm to Misa "even if you eat a lot of sweet stuff, if you keep using your brain, you wouldn't become fat".
   
6. L asked one of the officers to keep things confidential by "Here, I give you this strawberry, and you in turn keep this a secret for me" XD.
   
7. L is forced to act along in the Matsuda episode.
   

So now, for the second part of Death Note. Actually, the combination of Near+Mello is not so bad after all. And you know what? I actually enjoyed looking at Near's kind-of-horrible facial expression when she discovered a crucial point. Seriously. But Mello's too violent for my flavour. LOL. But actually I'm sort of looking forward to see Mello's true potential. So far I've already seen Raito, L, and Near's brilliant performance, but not Mello's. How unfair. But without Mello's sacrifice, Near would never be able to beat Raito. Mello, the hero! The key sacrifice to end the further corrosion of the sekai. Hats down to you, Mello.

The end of the anime is a well orchestrated one. Nothing spectacular to mention, but it was smooth and appropriate overall. But one thing I have to say is that the way Mikami Teru spurts out the blood is way funny. I mean, I know the place where a knife stuck in involves a lot of high-pressured blood vessels, but I don't think blood will spurts out like some kind of fountain out of that wound for like, 20 seconds or so in the anime. So I can't help but laugh all the way when I was watching that. But how Raito can see an illusion/ghost of L when he was closing his eyes is a nice touch for the end.

The soundtrack for this anime is very good. Matching and up-beat. L's theme B is my personal favourite. As for the theme songs, the first opening and ending theme song are done well by Nightmare (J-Rock Visual Kei band). If you don't already know, I'm a J-Rock fan and am totally thrilled+pleased to have J-Rock songs as theme songs for the anime. As for the rest of the theme song...sweat. The others are just basically shouting, not nice at all. So overall, I'd give a rating of 8.0 out of 10 for the soundtracks and theme songs of the anime.

As for the rating of this anime, my final verdict would be a rating of 9.2 out of 10. It's pretty perfect overall, just a little bit of imperfections. Ah well, not everything is perfect isn't it? So far, if I'm not mistaken this is the highest marks I've given to an anime in a review? Good job, Desu Noto.

The next anime would be Gakuen Heaven. A short, 13 episoded anime.

Ah! My Goddess Review

Okay, this time, it's one of those popular anime otaku's must watch - Ah! My Goddess (aka Aa Megamisama) anime review. If I'm not mistaken, this anime's popular about one or two years ago? That's when I first heard of the title. Well, to tell the truth, from the title (or at least, from the synopsis) already I can practically predict the whole story without using an ounce of my brain juice. Seriously, it's all clichés, nothing new to be expected at all. But oh whatever I'll just watch and see what happens. It's popular for a reason anyway.

Now, where should I start? First thing's first, let me tell you all anime otakus out there: THERE IS NO HOTTIE in the anime!!! ヾ(≧Д≦)ノ~~ After I watched the first 3 episodes of the anime then I was like, "Hey, where're the hot guys which can usually be found in an anime?". Then I realized for the first time that - This anime is about goddess, not god, so don't expect a hottie in here. As I realize that my expression looked like this --- (=o=ll)~~ If I'm a guy, I think I might like this a lot since there are THREE hot main goddess character in the anime - Belldandy, Urd and Skuld (Yeah, I know, weird name, don't ask).

Anyway let's continue. I have to say, this anime's starting point is one of the most absurd starting I've ever watched in so many animes. Really. Unless you consider that calling the goddess by phone+goddess appearing out of a mirror is not absurd, then you can go ahead and watch this anime with joy. But urgh not me. Although to tell the truth the absurdness of it doesn't really irk me that much because well, it's still, an anime, what do you expect from it?? Of course some absurdness and "specialty" points would be included. It's fiction after all.

Again, I wanted to point out that this anime is a truly shounen anime. What with those goddess and stuff, plus some slightly perverted scenes in some episodes, a guy might find this very er, entertaining. But all I can do while watching it is =___=ll. And eyes rolling as well. No wonder it's so popular, because the guys like it *runs before gets bricked*. Nevertheless, I'd like to add that the main character of the anime, Keiichi Morisato, is sort of cute (personality-wise). But that type of cute personality (shyness) is quite common anyway. So let's move on.

I think, the most annoying character in this anime should be Belldandy's younger sister Skuld? Skuld is one of the goddess who's good in making machines and robots. She loves picking a fight with anybody and she can't stand Belldandy and Keiichi being together for some reason. Which is why it annoys me a lot. But one thing which is really funny is that she always include this self-bombing (自爆) feature in all her invention. So when something happens (like her robot lost in a competition in one of the episodes), she will activate it and the whole thing will bomb up by itself (also affecting the person around the machine). XD. Somehow I find that kind of amusing and can't help smiling when the thing bombed up.

Personally, I think I prefer Urd of all the characters in the anime. She's Belldandy's elder sister and is supposed to be hot and sexy. But somehow I don't find her all that "hot and sexy". XD. Anyway, that's not my point. My point is that I like how Urd can act appropriately when she's serious. And that's not to say she's a boring person because usually she's this maniac woman who loves to watch wrestling or something on TV. LOL. And I love the moment when Urd's long-ago angel emerged when Urd tried to summon it back after so many years. It's got this "ohm" effect that I like a lot.

Did I mention that one of the amusing thing I found in this anime is that all the anime episodes start with "Ah!"? No seriously, all of the episode names do start with "Ah!". The creator must have some quirky obsession towards that syllable "Ah!". If not how do you explain this? Never mind. Sometimes I couldn't help but wonder if the anime is actually what the creator imagined his life to be? I mean, I can totally imagine that you know, a guy who wished that his life is surrounded with goddess and stuff. Well, I think this question can only be answered by the author himself.

Then I wanna comment a bit about the ending of this anime. Again, I have to use the word "absurd" here. I mean, the transferring of the demon for THREE times?? Maybe the creator can't think of anymore stuff to draw or something, thus this transferrings so that hopefully the story can be dragged longer. Urgh. But luckily it's just for one episode. And I laughed so hard when Urd starts to throw unlimited supply of bombs from Skuld to the villain in this crazy way. LOL. Anyway, the ending of this anime is a good, satisfying, happy one. But why in the world a goddess would end up with someone like Keiichi still puzzles me until now.

As for the soundtrack, they're all good and nice enough for this anime. But the starting and ending theme songs are so-so. The second ending theme song's kind of pleasant though with this hint of summer siesta feel. And some of the OSTs (Original Sound Track) in this are really good as well, but I can't point out which, sorry XD. Overall, I'd give a rating of 6.8 out of 10 for the soundtracks and theme songs of the anime.

The rating of this anime, in my honest opinion, would be a 6.9 out of 10. Although this is a cliché-loaded anime, but at least I'm attracted to watch it till the end. The artwork is above average, but not beautiful enough to give it an A. Watch this when you've got nothing better to watch (but in my case, actually I do have something better to watch X'D~).

Trinity Blood Review

Another anime down! Trinity Blood, an anime in which the main character of it is a vampire who feeds on another vampire's blood, also known as Crusnik, Abel Nightroad. But before you read this please be warned! Spoilers ahead!

The one impressive point of this anime is its amazingly beautiful artwork. The setting, character designs, costumes, buildings, and everything are so detailed and pretty it's a feast for us anime addicts. But the normal, unfocused storyline is a rather letdown. The lack of suspense in the anime made me finish this ever so slowly.

However, I love how the creator straightaway get to the point of the story in the beginning without wasting any time like how Blood+ didn't. The introduction to the characters and forces (Rosencruez Orden and AX) is splendid, highlighting each force's strengths and weaknesses. Although some may find the way Abel need to chant a bit ("Crusnik 02, restriction released to 40% blah blah blah") as kind of weird, but to me, it's totally cool in its own way. I mean, it made me actually looking forward to the Abel transforming scene like a puppy everytime. LOL.

Trinity Blood, no doubt, is one of the most religious and historical anime I've ever watched. Seriously, the European history element is so thick, I thought I was watching a documentary anime. XD. Not to mention all those historical items and personae such as Methuselah, pope, vampires, churches and so on. For the DVD I bought, the subbers even kindly insert informations on European history so that watchers get a clearer picture on what is happening in the anime. So you can guess how heavy the anime is based on that statement.

But, one thing about this anime is that somehow the ending is so rush and I felt like the creator's trying to cut it off hastily or something like that. The ending made me rate the anime down. A lot, in fact. In addition, the second main character of this anime, Esther Blanchett, is somewhat annoying to me. I don't know, maybe it's just me, usually I just don't like this type of Esther Blanchett type of character, whether it's in real life or anime (this girl is beginning to mix up reality and anime XD).

One question that I kept struggling with myself is this "Should Abel Nightroad be loved and placed in my hottie list??" XDXDXD. Well, I admit, Abel is a great person, but somehow... I just can't feel the chemistry with him (as if I have to pick someone from the anime to get married with XD). I *think*, if Abel Nightroad can get his glasses off, he'll be a total uber hottie, somehow that pair of glasses of his turned me off so badly lol (because usually to me glasses are a turn-on). Of course, Abel's death in episode 23 is a total surprise to me, what with him being a main character and all (I told you, spoiler).

Another pleasant surprise in this anime is that I found out that Seth the cute little girl turned out to be a Crusnik!! I was so thrilled to see more and more surprises from that cute girl! Plus, the mature factor on her made her all the more adorable without any effort. Heehee. And I love how she phrase her first sentence to Abel "It's been 900 years isn't it? Abel-niisan." orz~~ I mean, that 900 years thing coming out of a little girl's mouth is somewhat creepy to me, in a way. LOL. Cain, hmm, somehow, that supposed-to-be-grand-villain didn't seem to make all that much of an impression on me. But didn't anybody noticed he looked a lot like Hugue and Virgil Walsh??? XD.

And talk about Hugue de Watteau and Virgil Walsh, these two are my top-voted hotties in this anime. No doubt. I love Hugue's air of confidence and Virgil's soft appearance. If there's any chance I can combine these two together...ヾ(≧Д≦)ノ!! And you know what?? Ion Fortuna in this anime reminded me of Shou!! But of course, he's cute in his own way as well. His fond for Esther is so cute, I keep shouting "可愛い!! 可愛い!!" to myself when I look at this couple. And look at how Ion's trying to confess his fond in episode 15!! Aww~~ *hugs Ion like mad*~~ XD~

Somehow, Dietrich in this anime looks 80% like Raito from the anime Death Note. The clothes they wear, the face, the hairstyle. =__=ll. This is what happens when you watch animes up to a certain extend, the characters start to overlap themselves XDXDXD (as if I've watched a lot of anime XDXD). And can I say Brother Petros's personality is so cute?? Rough on the outside, but soft as jelly on the inside. Real sweetheart~ And I also love the part where Leon Gracia shout "俺はお爺さんじゃない!!" to the kids when they called him ojiisan XD. And oh how can I forget to mention Catherina Sforza (I totally heart her surname, Sforza, so unique), pretty impressive woman, but actually I was expecting some sort of physical power from this woman. Sadly, my expectations were disappointed T__T.

The soundtracks used in this anime is good and fitting. The ending theme song, Broken Wings, is pretty as well. Piano version of Broken Wings used for some parts in this anime is also lovely. Overall, I'd give a rating of 7.8 out of 10 for the soundtracks and theme songs of the anime.

As for the anime, I think the rating will be 6.7 out of 10. Well, the artwork is great, but without an exciting storyline, the balance between the artwork and the storyline is destroyed. And the lack of suspense, not to mention the annoying Esther (personal grudge XD). But actually, it's a great anime if you wanna learn about the ancient European history. Seriously, I knew nothing about Methuselah and Albion until I watch this anime. So go ahead, watch it!

So one more heavy anime down. Next will be...*random pick again* Ah My Goddess!! I'm on my way!

Midori no Hibi Review

Review again~ Ha, I finished this 13-episode anime within 24 hours. Midori no Hibi (aka Midori Days). Well, it's sort of easy to digest and all. Light anime, as I'd expected.

Although the idea is creative, but the simple thought of having a miniature living person in replace of the right hand is totally absurd. I mean, I was like "What the??" when I know that. But after you get used to it, the anime is easily acceptable. It's an anime after all, if everything is all normal and no new stuff what's the fun right?

However, this anime did not succeed in making me laugh-out-laugh at least once in every episode. But instead of lols, I did sort of chuckled in every episodes. Well, I guess it's good in its own ways.

Midori is very very cute, her seiyuu did a good job of doing the cute voice. But..the male lead Seiji's sort of a letdown - not what I'd call a Hottie! (Gomenasai Seiji-kun!) Haahaa. But I like Seiji's personality, hard on the outside, but soft inside. Well, who doesn't like people with that personality huh? So I guess he can be some popular character. Too bad he's not a hottie XD.

Overall, I'd give this anime a rating of hmm...7.5 out of 10? Well, that's the best rating I can give for this anime. Since the storyline is VERY PREDICTABLE and makes you go "Duh!" all the time. So, not what I'd recommend if you're looking for exciting storyline (maybe because I'd just watched the thrilling Blood+, causing this anime a bit of a dim one ^^ll).

The theme songs...Hmm no comment, since it's a short anime, there's not much theme song, in fact, if I'm not mistaken, one opening theme song and one ending theme song. So, no comment ^o^.

Oh yeah I love how Seiji's elder sister made me laugh. A crazy character like her will really help a lot in light animes. Seiji's elder sister is a totally violent person, always using force on his brother, but actually she's a good sister who always looked out for his brother. I love it a lot when she go crazy and torture her brother XD.

So, that's it for Midori no Hibi. The next would be --- hmm...so hard to decide...I think...hmm...Trinity Blood. Random Pick. Haha.

Blood+ Review

OK, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep this up ("this" being reviewing every anime I've watched from now on). But I'll try my best to do so.

So, overall, Blood+ is one of those anime in which the introduction part is superbly boring, but as it gets to the climax things suddenly became so so much more exciting.

The starting of the anime is good, what with mysterious Hagi rushing out and all. But what's yawning is after Saya realized she's someone who can kill the Chiropteran (aka the monsters), the killing, blood splashing process is truly boring that I can practically fall asleep during the action. I mean, you can't seriously find bursting monsters apart as exciting or even meaningful can you?

But ooh good as the climax comes along...things are much more delicious..The introduction to Diva's four unique Chevaliers, especially Solomon, is super finger-licking good. And the twist and turn in the anime is not one could easily predict. No, even me, could not predict what's HAPPENING, let alone predict the immediate future of oncoming episodes. But, the storyline is so good I have to applaud for the brilliant ideas and innovative ways the creator used to spice up the story.

But man, I love how this anime ends. It has got to be one of the excellent ending I've ever watched, aside from Fate Stay Night's and Chrno Crusade's endings. The end, is carefully laid out in the last three episodes with precision and creativity. Seriously, it's so good that the ending is TOTALLY different from what I'd expected. In fact, it's the complete contrast to what I'd expected. At one point, before the last three episode I seriously thought that Saya is a total dead meat, what with her stepping towards the "sleeping phase" and all. And that sort-of stubbornly invincible Amshel (one of Diva's Chevalier) is too much of an opponent for Hagi. But hey, suddenly everything's going against my prediction. Not that I'm mad, in fact, I'm totally happy because the ending is a good one.

And after the rolling credits of the last episode, the short, 45 seconds epilogue is the most exquisite cream of the episode. I wouldn't say anything here, since it's so beautiful you've got to watch it yourself. And don't think you can just watch a little bit and then jump to the said 45 seconds because it wouldn't make any sense or give you the contented feeling if you do so. It's touching, really, well, in my honest opinion, that is.

I guess, the whole main point of this anime is "a person cannot be complete without love, education and care". As we can see, Diva and Saya is the same test subject, but how did Diva ended up in such way but not Saya, clearly, the three main criteria mentioned is the key. Thus, in the said 45 seconds, you cannot notice any difference between the two kids of Diva because Kai raised them with love and care. That, is the main concept of the story, in my opinion. Although this is somewhat familiar to us already, but I'm glad that the creator made this 50-episode anime to convey the point across to the audience. Bravo.

In this anime, Hottie-wise, my pick would totally be Solomon and Hagi. Both of them are so devoted to Saya that I felt supreme jealousy for the girl *chuckles*. Hagi proved his love through time and actions. And Solomon chose to overcome his blood-bond to Diva in order to serve as Saya's Chevalier. Both of them are equally hot in their own ways, but I guess Hagi should deserve more attention because of his sacrifice and love for Saya. For one thing, Hagi don't go around telling the world he love Saya like how Solomon did. He used his actions to prove his love for her. Yummy. Not to mention the quiet, hoarse sexy voice. Anybody can fell in love with Hagi. XD.

One character I would like to mention in this anime is another Diva's Chevalier, Nathan Mahler. Not that he's hot or whatever, but the weird thing is his appearance always made me felt so amused and interested. Apparently among all the Chevaliers he's the most powerful one, since everytime he starts threatening the other Chevaliers, they would automatically back step and chose not to pick a fight with him. But Nathan didn't plan world-domination like how James and Amshel did, which, in my opinion, is totally intelligent and smart. But too bad I can't really see Nathan's true colours in this anime, I wonder if the creator left him out already *laugh*.

Oh yeah I nearly forget to mention the anime's theme songs. For the theme songs of the anime, I give a rating of 9 out of 10. The songs are fitting, and good. Some songs I'd like to recommend from this anime is This Love by Angela Aki, Kataritsugu Koto by Hajime Chitose and Colours of the Heart by Uverworld.

Overall, I would give Blood+ a rating of 8.8 out of 10. One of the animes I'd recommend for intermediate anime watcher, since I doubt light anime watchers would like this deep anime. No offense or anything.

I think, that's it for Blood+ Review. The next anime I'm going to tackle would be...Midori Days (13 episodes) I think. Haahaa, I think I have a pattern for watching anime. It goes like this: Heavy, Light, Heavy, Light, and so on. A bit more balanced, I think.
