Tian Yian Café 2nd

Well last Sunday we went to Tian Yian (previous post is here) again and this time I ordered drinks =D

I always like their chocolate milkshake cuz the flavour of milk and chocolate balance about just right, you can taste the milk and at the same time you can taste the chocolate as well.

My regular - Chocolate Milkshake.

Bro's regular - American Mocha Blended.

Sometimes I like the blended drinks too but too bad they don't have pure chocolate in their blended series. The closest thing you can get to chocolate blended is the American Mocha Blended above. =(

Dreams at California

Did I ever mention that in my American Dream the state which I want to be in the most is California? No, not Los Angeles, but either Sacramento or San Francisco.

I don't know why, but probably due to my interest in tech stuff, and the appeal of Silicon Valley to me is just too overwhelming at times.

Whenever I dream about happy life and happy things, I can usually picture my future life living in California, in a sunny, spacious yet comfortable house, with a yard, absolutely fence-less (maybe except for short white picket fence), kitchen with a window overlooking the front yard, with two Golden Retrievers, light wood flooring, pastel coloured walls, no swimming pool but a grill and outdoor tables and chairs, lots of flower bushes, if not then covered by green grass, and one or two trees for shades.

That, is my dream. Definitely not living in big apple in a luxurious pent house with service lifts and indoor jacuzzi. Although the idea sounds fantastic but right now I'm more drawn towards a peaceful relaxed life in a culture I want to be in.

How am I gonna realize my dream? I have no idea, but I hope of all dreams in my life, this will be the one God decides to help me achieve.

Be Ready...

Be ready, my dear readers (if there're still any "readers" left after I've "abandoned" my blog for so friggin long =D).

Be ready for what?

Well, I'm going to SPAM my blog A LOT. BUT, those posts will be dated as far as 2 months ago =)

Yes, I'm going to post everything you guys have missed for the past 2 months.

Oh don't be scared yet =.= It's not like 70 posts, I'm not that crazy, I think. Most probably about 20 posts. =D Those 20 posts will be scattered in between the posts you guys have already seen/read, so let's play a little hide and seek game shall we? If you can find those posts, there'll be a lot of eye candies waiting for you (Hint hint: eye candies=delicious food discovery XD).

Major blog-posts-spamming by yours truly will start effectively tomorrow/day after tomorrow, cuz now I'm friggin sleepy after editing the pictures that I'm going to post for the past 2 hours.

Let the game begin :)

A Quick Let Out

I know I've been ignoring my blog for quite some time, but now I really need to get this out of my head so there goes.

I AM SICK OF PEOPLE WHO ARE INSENSITIVE AND BLOODY FLAUNT IT INTO YOUR FACE AS IF THEY ARE SLAPPING YOU.

I may be dense, but not that dense, fuckers. It's so bloody damn obvious, you think I can't notice it?

And yes, for the sake of peace and pleasantry, I of course will be nice and will not, I promise, shout in your face and give you a fucking piece of my mind because truth is, I cannot believe that I still have to face people that I LOATHE and still make a good job at hiding that fact.

Look, people-who-are/is-thicker-than-me-but-don't-realize-it, if you think you hate me but not really sure about it, DON'T FLAUNT IT IN MY FACE AND LET ME KNOW THAT WILL YOU? Because, really, I've tried hard to ignore it, smile it away, and make as if nothing happen for the first time, BUT THE SECOND and THIRD FUCKING TIME? No, sorry, MY PATIENCE IS NOT THAT GOOD, even me, who might seem good and easy to bully, have a LIMIT.

Please, readers of this post, don't ask who is these/this people who set me off like that. And for your information, generally I'm someone nice and not that calculative, so if there's anyone who can set me off like this, you know that he/she/they have done enough to cause something like this.

And for the record, I write this post is to let anger out of my head, not to pay fucking respect to these people or whatever, because seriously, LOOKING DOWN AT THEM IS NOT EVEN WORTH IT.

Thanks for being my audience and sorry for the vulgar terms used in the post because the terms are essential in order to express my level of anger and irritation.

Hajime

YChing introduced me to Hajime, a Japanese restaurant in the city. It's her favourite restaurant if I'm not mistaken, mostly because of Hajime's excellent makimonos. I must say, I agree with her 100%, because under comparison the lunch set which was supposed to be the main course degraded and became the side course instead. We went there after a swim and we were so, so very famished (or was it just me?). This restaurant is actually a standalone bungalow on its own without any connection to any other building and it's situated quite off the road so you might need to find it for a while.

There's a sushi bar inside and you can sit there and watch
your sushis being made in the hands of sushi sifus.

The restaurant gave me a very cozy feel
and I felt like I could just sleep there and then.

Cute kitty.

Stickers like this decorated some of the dining tables there - unique.

Salmon Ginger Maki
Rolled with very soft buttery salmon. Need I say more?

Golden Dragon Maki
Maki with fried prawn then rolled together with
thin avocado and unagi slices on top.
It's the BEST maki I've ever tasted and
it brings a whole new definition to
the word "maki" in my dictionary.

A close-up of Golden Dragon Maki.

My lunch set consist of unagi, mixed tenpura,
chawanmushi, appetizer, and rice (closewise from top left).
The chawanmushi was pretty good too.

Close-up of unagi with teriyaki sauce.

Mixed tenpura: Two prawns, brinjal and sweet potato.

After the lunch I hang out at YChing's place and her mom invited me for dinner as well but I had to go home early as my family needed to go out that night as well =(

This is her sister's soft toy doggie. I sort of forgot its name. =P

Today is a very happy day. =D

Hiong Ging Restaurant

My dad and I went to Hiong Ging today. It's a chinese restaurant with a couple of really good signature dish. We tried some of the signature dishes during this visit.

Tofu Stew
Chopped tofu and lots of seafood in it, yum!

Ribs in Salted Egg Sauce
MARVELLOUS. So so delicious I couldn't even describe it.

"Kung Bo" Prawn
Spicy and fragrant, just the way we like it.

So full X__X

Happy Seasons and Sleepover

Agnes discovered Happy Seasons Restaurant some time ago and insist that we must all go there one day to rate its interior design and the food of course.

So... today is the aforementioned day.

Although the restaurant's actual name is
"4 Happy Seasons Restaurant", but the name
"Happy Seasons" got stuck in my head.

Agnes - Seasons Special Fried Rice
I like her fried rice a lot, so fragrant and steaming hot.
Not to mention there's this huge prawn =D

Kim - Balinese Roasted Chicken Spaghetti w Lemongrass
The lemongrass taste was obvious but slightly overpowering,
although the cream sauce toned it down so it was still good.

Mine - Japanese Grilled Black Pepper Beef Volcano Rice
The black pepper sauce and beef was a good combination,
but the rice was too hard. Like little rocks =S

Kim - Lavender Lemon topped w Lavender Flower
Kim said it tasted like water in toilet bowl LOL.
I thought it was okay, but maybe I'm not used to
drinking lavender so it was a bit weird to me too.

Me & Agnes - Vanilla layered w Passion Fruit
topped w Passion Fruit Puree

I got this drink cuz Agnes strongly recommended this
and also becauseshe ordered one of this as well.
The vanilla and passion fruit matched greatly.

A close-up of it~~

We had our meal in the "Winter" section, "Autumn" section's just
outside so we can enjoy the view of it as well.

To me "Autumn"'s the best. Mostly because it's on the second floor
and it has a great scenery view.

After Happy Seasons we had a sleepover at Kim's place. It's really, as I said, a "sleepover", like literally, because that two princesses don't sleep late at all like yours truly. But still I managed to keep Kim up until 1/2am XD (couldn't remember) but Agnes dozed off so early..about 40 min before me and Kim slept.

Did I mention that Kim has two SUPER CUTE doggie??

1. Cute and playful Chubby.

2. Man and cute Kiddo.

Sleepy Kiddo. Awwwwwwww~

I had a good bonding time with both her dogs (Agnes & Kim: "What about us???" LOL~). Hope that her dogs will remember my smell and keep quiet when I come to her house next time... XD

Suddenly

Suddenly, half a year is gone.

It seemed so easy, yet so hard.

Don't you feel frustrated that you could never know what's going to happen in life?

All too many times I walk into a bookstore and read the last pages of a book without knowing its content. And I know that's wrong. I know.

Where am I ever going to find that fun again.

Godiva

I didn't know that it can be this damn delicious.

Hung out with YChing at Godiva today. I ordered Ice Blended Dark Chocolate Mint, but I guess anything from that menu of theirs is as perfect and heavenly as any other selection.

That feel of dark chocolate flowing into your mouth with a light hint of refreshing mint, oh I don't really think that I can ever forget that sensation =D

And as usual, for that topping of whipped cream and rich thick chocolate syrup, I still couldn't believe that the waiter actually asked us whether we want it or not. I was like, "What the hell?? Do you even need to ask that?? Do I look like some anorexic sickeningly thin barbie doll out there, HELLO?"

But of course, I'm still flattered XD. Kidding.

Anyway, I just realized that the last time I posted an entry with actual photos of mine was like two months ago. Wow, right? I know. I guess I was too busy slaving myself away due to finals for the first month, and then wasting my sweet time away after finals the second month. So now I think I'm sort of back, I hope. Thanks Godiva for causing this kind of "impulse" to post this. Hehe. I guessed perhaps I was too absorbed in Youtube (some people there are just great and funny, Kohaku, I think you know what I mean ;) right?), a little bit of Facebook (the games there are really sort of addictive, say Bejeweled and Typing Maniac) and two seasons of Ugly Betty (I'm in the middle of third season now, I so love that show =D).

College will be starting soon. The timetable looks so damn beautiful, I wanted to kiss whoever who prepared the timetable, it rocks, really, I couldn't thank you enough. I mean, only need to go to college for 3 out of 7 days a week and classes evenly spread out in 6 hours per day? Under comparison with last sem's timetable, it's like comparing heaven and hell. But really I hope that this sem will be a graceful one.

Okay, I probably need to stop before I start babbling more about this and that and everything else. =)
